SUNOCO PIPELINE PLAN RAISES EMINENT DOMAIN CONCERN
“Property owners across southern Portage County along the route of a new pipeline planned by Sunoco Pipeline L.P. continue to raise concerns with the pipeline and the easements Sunoco wants them to sign. Sunoco has a decades-old right of way from Suffield to Deerfield for one line it is now enlarging. That line, the Mariner West, is transporting liquid ethane from Houston, Pa., to Canada. A new line, running from Mogadore to Vanport Pa., is part of the Allegheny Access pipeline. Sunoco said that line is geared to carry refined products such as gasoline and jet fuel from west to east.”
