Mundelein may use eminent domain to get land for Hawley Road fixes
“After saying they couldn’t get all the land necessary to start construction on a Hawley Street road improvement project, Mundelein officials are warning that they may need to resort to enforcing eminent domain rights to buy up the rest of the property.
Village Administrator John Lobaito said 18 out of 40 property owners along the road have accepted tentative offers to buy up an average of four feet per property.”
