Hearing scheduled for 701 Main St. fight
“The commissioners condemned the commercial building at the corner of Seventh and Main streets in May in order to take ownership of the building. The condemnation passed by a 2-1 vote, with Commissioner Suzanne McCool objecting.
The building’s owner, Grist Mill Development Company of Wescosville, objected to the taking and an attorney for the company promised to fight the move. Grist had acquired the building in January for $1.9 million.”
