I have more down-to-earth questions for our young, energetic mayor: • Where are you taking the people of the city you govern? • Is this a good time to permanently raise taxes for Denver property owners? • If voters approve ballot measure 2A, the city promises to pave miles of streets, subsidize access to swimming pools and rec centers for kids, extend library hours, train new police and fire recruits, eliminate employee furlough days and restore Denver’s General Fund operating budget to its pre-recession growth rate. How many private-sector jobs will $68 million (and more) create?
