Why not use eminent domain to save Mount Manresa?
” If you search “eminent domain” on the state Attorney General’s website, it’s defined as “the right of the government to take private property for a public purpose . . . various examples are for a road or public park, or to provide housing for disadvantaged persons.”
You’d think this was written shortly after his decision allowing the sale of Mount Manresa, as a hint to how it could be saved.
East Shore residents are thankful for our elected representatives’ work to stop the sale, but it’s been a collective failure so far. The Jesuits, who take a vow of poverty and supposedly work for God, are best described as frauds, but unfortunately got their money from Savo Brothers, developers who apparently no longer communicate.”
