“A state Supreme Court judge has reserved decision in an eminent domain case involving New York State Electric & Gas Corp. and five landowners who properties are located along the route of the proposed Seneca West Pipeline Interconnect project.

The dispute centers on NYSEG’s plan to install a 5-mile pipeline to transport natural gas from the Seneca Lake Gas Storage Facility West Pipeline near Upson Road in Big Flats through the Town of Horseheads to Gardner Road in Horseheads. The utility company, however, was unable to successfully negotiate right-of-way agreements with 13 property owners along the pipeline’s route and initiated eminent domain proceedings against them.”
