‘Domain’ process goes forward
“Eminent domain proceedings by the School District of Beloit against property owners Anna and Larry Truckenbrod will move forward.
On Monday Rock County Circuit Court Judge Barbara McCrory ruled to send the eminent domain case to a Condemnation Commission, thereby denying the Truckenbrods’ attorneys’ request for an injunction due to “bad-faith negotiations.”
The Truckenbrods rejected the district’s final offer last week for their land at 2570 Milwaukee Road. The district had also announced it intended to purchase 3.19 acres at 2554 Milwaukee Road owned by Mary Densch and Steve Willis to bring the total land acreage for the new southeast intermediate school up to roughly 12 acres.”
