EDC not taking same shine to new hotel proposal as it did to Gaylord

“Colorado’s top economic-development official on Thursday questioned whether a key part of Northern Colorado’s Regional Tourism Act application deserves tax-increment financing, saying the state “has typically not subsidized hotels.”

That comment from Fiona Arnold, executive director of the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade, echoed the feelings of a number of Colorado Economic Development Commission members about the proposed PeliGrande Resort and Windsor Conference Center, part of the four-project Go NoCo application for state tourism funding.”
