“n regards to the proposed Dominion pipeline routes through Augusta County, I have concerns that I have been slow to express due to a desire to learn more about the project. Many of the concerns deal with ecological impacts and explosion risks.
I don’t believe a mountainous region that has recently experienced several earthquakes to be a suitable location for a pipeline carrying explosive gas, particularly as it will have to pass near a large number of homes. As the mother of a 16-year-old son with cerebral palsy, I am concerned about the possible need to evacuate on short notice from a home on a farm whose driveway is impassible in a snowstorm, so what are my chances if there is an explosion?”
