Council to weigh downtown redevelopment tonight
“It looks like downtown will become the latest swath of local real estate to be declared a redevelopment zone, a legal definition that puts some teeth into the city’s efforts to pump new vitality into the area.
If all goes according to plan, the City Council will make the declaration at a meeting tonight, opening the door for the city to acquire property in the designated area through the power of eminent domain.”
