$47 million for 9th and Colorado redevelopment gets preliminary approval
“Denver City Council’s finance and services committee Tuesday gave unanimously preliminary approval for a $47.9 million incentive package for the Ninth and Colorado redevelopment site.
The incentive package still needs to be approved by the full Denver City Council on Dec. 8. The council will hear it for the first time Dec. 1.
The Ninth and Colorado site was declared blighted in August 2013, opening the door for incentives, including tax-increment financing, to be used to redevelop the area, which before housed the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.”
