Tappan Zee team acquires another South Nyack home
“The builder of the new Tappan Zee Bridge has purchased a second home that had initially been slated to be taken by the state for the bridge project.
Jacqueline Peralta and her husband, Roberto Garcia, officially sold their house at 317 South Broadway to Tappan Zee Constructors this month, according to Rockland County records, which lists the sale price as $450,302.
The couple did not return messages for comment this week, but Peralta told The Journal News in April they bought the home six years ago for $455,000.
In December, TZC bought the home of her next-door neighbors, Melissa Hall and Michael Holober, after months of discussions.
The ordeal actually began in late 2011, when the state Thruway Authority notified six South Nyack homeowners, including those two families, that their properties would be acquired under eminent domain for the Tappan Zee replacement project.”
