Ameren Uses Eminent Domain To Access Properties Around Springfield
“Ameren now has permission to use eminent domain in it’s effort to build a major power line across central Illinois.
The State Commerce Commission voted unanimously to let the electric company gain access to 20 or so properties along the proposed route just west of Springfield.
The Illinois Rivers Transmission Line would carry power from the Mississippi River to the Indiana border, near Terre Haute.”
