Lacking Town Attorney, Bloomfield Delays Eminent Domain Discussion
“The town council Tuesday listened in silence as a half dozen supporters of Harry Sawyer took to the microphone again to criticize them for their effort to take seven acres he owned by eminent domain.
“What’s right is right and what’s wrong is wrong,” property co-owner Amy Geigner told the council. “And as you’ve heard for the second town council meeting in a row, this is wrong.”
Then the council worked its way through its agenda, expecting to discuss the eminent domain issue in executive session. But that never happened as the council adjourned, believing that Town Attorney Marc Needelman, who they needed for the discussion, had not made it to the meeting.”
