ILLINOIS REGULATORS OK EMINENT DOMAIN FOR PIPELINE
“llinois regulators say Enbridge Pipelines can use eminent domain to build a 167-mile pipeline in Central Illinois.
The Bloomington bureau of Lee Enterprise Newspapers reports the Illinois Commerce Commission cleared the way for the company to use eminent domain to get the remaining right-of-way for the project.
An ICC spokeswoman says Enbridge still needs to go to court to obtain the remaining 120 parcels of land. About 100 landowners along the route say they plan to challenge the pipeline in court.”
