Water Employees File Motion Intervening City’s Eminent Domain Case
“One more challenge is added to the city’s battle to acquire Mountain Water Company. 38 Mountain Water employees filed a motion on Wednesday, intervening in the City of Missoula’s efforts to condemn Missoula’s water through eminent domain. The motion asks that the employees have a say in the city’s eminent domain case.
It all started after the company’s current owner, the Carlyle Group, rejected the city’s offer to buy Missoula’s water supply. The city asked a district court judge to allow it to acquire Mountain Water by eminent domain.”
