City to use eminent domain to acquire land for relief route
“The city will go to court to try and acquire 2.6 acres of land just south of Del Rio for the planned construction of the Qualia Relief Route.
Members of the Del Rio City Council unanimously approved an ordinance Tuesday night directing City Manager Robert A. Eads to sign and execute the documents necessary to begin eminent domain proceedings to acquire the 2.603 acres of land, part of a 20.313-acre tract owned by Pat Ellis, for the construction of the planned relief route.”
