Change Of Venue Requested in Sacramento Kings Arena Eminent Domain Case
“The owners of a building in the path of a new Sacramento Kings arena have asked for a change of venue in its eminent domain proceedings.
Concerned they would be seen as nothing but outsiders, the owners of the former Macy’s Men’s store building in Downtown Plaza have requested the move to Alameda County.
The ownership group includes the California Public Employees Retirement System and U.S. Bank.
The move for eminent domain came after the two sides couldn’t reach an agreement to sell the property.”
