Dozens of beachfront owners resisting dune easements
“Jedziniak, a 45-year oceanfront owner in Ship Bottom, is one of more than 280 property owners who have yet to sign their easements for an Army Corps of Engineers project that officials say would make the Shore safer from major storms.
“When they put in their dune, who is in charge after they leave?” Jedziniak said, who owns an ocean-front condominium off Ocean Avenue through Jed Management LLC, valued at $960,800. “They have assured us verbally that there will be no boardwalks or bathrooms when this is completed, but who knows? I don’t want to ruin this special place.””
