Use eminent domain to secure Launiupoko property
“A group of people (the sellers) want to sell the property (185 acres) to the county. They got it appraised at $13 million. But three people from the council thought it was too high. They got their own appraisal and they came up with two figures – the first was $9 million and the second was $6.5 million. But the sellers do not want to sell except for $13 million.”
