Dayton commission greenlights Water Street development downtown
“Dayton City Commission approved the development agreement for the Water Street project, although at least one neighbor isn’t happy.
The commission approved the conditions for the $33.5 million project, which will include 50,000 square feet of office space and at least 150 residential units, as well as a $5 million, 480-space parking garage and $2.5 million in roadway improvements along the riverfront northeast of town. The project will be developed by Crawford Hoying of Columbus and Woodard Real Estate Resources of Dayton.
Water Street, as the project is termed, has been on the minds of city officials for years, and its development represents a major investment downtown.”
