Property Being Taken From Over 20 Asheboro Residents

“”Sometimes the government doesn’t value properties correctly. In fact, sometimes they miss factors that make a property a lot more valuable than they believe,” according to NC Eminent Domain Law Firm attorney Stan Abrams, who formerly worked for the North Carolina Department of Transportation.

He says that, in projects like the Mack Road Extension, government appraisers are usually valuing many properties at once, under a time constraint, and that can often lead to oversights that may significantly affect how much residents receive for their property.

“In my experience, residents’ properties can often be worth more than the government’s initial offer,” Abrams said.”
