Dr. Jim Thorsen, DVM, loses his property to the state through eminent domain

“Jim Thorsen’s Animal Health Center and the 1.55 acres it sits on will soon no longer be his. The Georgia Department of Transportation, through eminent domain, condemned his property in September. The state plans to use the property for a water retention pond for the Veterans Parkway widening project.The state paid him $910,000 for the building and land, according to Muscogee County Superior Court records.”
