‘Domain’ price for land set at $203,000
“The Rock County Condemnation Commissioners set an award of just compensation at $203,000 for the 4.08 acres of land at 2570 Milwaukee Road. The award stemmed from the eminent domain proceedings by the School District of Beloit against Anna Truckenbrod.
The three-member commission composed of Robert Blakely, Clyde Boutelle and Richard Modaff filed the award for just compensation on Thursday, Oct. 3, according to court records.
The attorney for the school district, Brad Dagen with Rose/deJong of Milwaukee, said he considered the award to be a fair figure for the district to acquire the land based upon the evidence that was presented in the Sept. 26 hearing.
“It’s a fair result, and I’m hoping they agree to accept that,” Dagen said.”
