Mount Laurel couple reach out to Allen
“Bill and Dora Welsh don’t want the same thing that has happened to them to affect another New Jersey family. They are asking Sen. Diane Allen to look into the state’s laws on eminent domain.
The Welshes live on Union Mill Road, which the township is enlarging for safety reasons.
Local officials have offered the couple $4,600 for an easement to build a sidewalk 10 feet into their front lawn. The existing sidewalk, which also was built on part of their property, according to the owners, will become part of a new shoulder and serve as a bicycle path.”
