Eminent domain case to be lengthy battle
“The Northern Will County Water Agency recently met, confirming the case of eminent domain to acquire a pipeline from the American Lake Water Company and a move to gain control of the water system for its communities.
The group of village mayors from Bolingbrook, Homer Glen, Lemont, Romeoville and Woodridge make up the agency that has been meeting since 2008. The agency has been looking to clear a path to potentially take over the Bedford Park water pipeline, owned by American Lake Company, a subsidiary of Illinois American Water.”
