Wind energy industry: 2013 Legislature created mixed results
“During the 2013 session of the Wyoming Legislature, members of the wind energy industry closely watched four bills, including potential laws for eminent domain, utility rates and state permitting.
The industry opposed three of the bills, believing they would limit business in the Cowboy State, and was neutral on one bill.
In the end, two passed and two failed, which industry lobbyist Dave Picard describes as producing “mixed” results for wind energy. Picard represents the Wyoming Power Producers Coalition, independent power producers whose clients are utilities.”
