Mount Rainier officials threaten to acquire Singer Building in court
“Mount Rainier City Council members want to remove an obstacle in the development of the city’s business district and if other options are exhausted, are considering taking the property owner of a long-vacant building in the area to court.
City Council members say the two-story building, known as the Singer Building, at 3300 Rhode Island Ave., is blighted with problems, including broken, boarded-up windows; damaged wood floors on the ground level; multiple areas of compromised roofing; and electrical conduits hanging from the rear windows.”
