Imperial pursuing eminent domain
“The city will pursue eminent domain to build a transit center in downtown, the City Council decided Wednesday.
The decision comes as the city plans to build a new public transit center on a vacant lot at the southeast corner of West Barioni Boulevard and Imperial Avenue.
The project, worth about $1.2 million and funded through state and federal grant funds, includes a bus driveway, bus shelters, bicycle lockers, benches, landscaping and information kiosks, according to a report to the council.”
