Hannibal City Council uses eminent domain to help school safety measure proceed
“The Hannibal City Council voted in closed session on Tuesday to use eminent domain to claim property from a Hannibal landowner as part of a plan to increase safety for pedestrians and students near Hannibal High School.
The Safe Routes to School sidewalk project has been delayed while the city has attempted to work with Kevin Williams, who owns property along Palmyra Road. City Manager Jeff LaGarce said the other property owners on Palmyra Road have embraced the new sidewalk project.”
