8 Qualities of Transit and Pedestrian Oriented Development
“Researchers and planners have been examining qualities of TOD’s that make them such pleasant and enjoyable places for people. Although the list is perhaps too long to cover here in any detail, there are a few “principles” which may be broadly spoken of. The Urban Land Institute has looked into and explained a few of these, and although general and not tied to any mode of transit, or policy, or land use code, help us get a better idea of what TOD’s are like.
