Eminent domain just legalized stealing
“We like to think that Fort Collins operates by a higher standard than other communities, but this threat of eminent domain suggests otherwise. By forcing Sears to sell their property in order to build a better mall, it shows the city government has lost its moral compass. The city is using force to get what they want, and that’s called being a bully. Eminent domain is stealing, and that is wrong.”
