Amendment to limit eminent domain in Virginia passes
Virginia voters overwhelmingly approved a constitutional amendment that some officials contend will make it nearly impossible for localities in the state to seize private property for redevelopment, The Virginian-Pilot reported. The statewide amendment had 76 percent approval as of 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, which was enough for The Associated Press to call it.
