Frustration builds over dilapidated Weymouth Landing storefronts

“Frustration is mounting among town councilors and neighbors who say the owner, Nick Delegas of Lexington, has made no effort to maintain the row of buildings along Commercial Street that lie at the center of an area the town is trying to revive. Delegas says the town is to blame for the delay by talking about an eminent domain taking.
A consultant’s report, completed earlier this month at the request of councilors, said an eminent domain taking would be too costly and likely take years in court. Instead it suggested the town work with Delegas to help attract new tenants or a buyer, and reconfiguring parking in the area.
