Enbridge uses eminent domain for project
“More than 70 homeowners in Ingham and Livingston counties have been taken to court by Enbridge Energy – the Canadian-based oil transportation company responsible for the July 2010 oil spill in the Kalamazoo River – to force them to give up some of their property for the installation of a new pipeline.
Enbridge is replacing 285 miles of the aging Line 6B pipeline, the same one that ruptured and dumped 800,000 gallons of crude oil into a Kalamazoo River tributary near Marshall.”
