“Brady’s Battle Ground restaurant, O’Brady’s Drive-In, is on the brink of closure. It faces demolition to make way for an expanded State Route 502.
For instance, Brady and state officials haven’t yet agreed on the price she should be paid for her business and property.
“I have an appraisal for $477,000 and that is only for the property and the building. They don’t pay you anything for your business so that doesn’t include any part of my business, that’s just for the building and the property,” she said. “They offered me $291,000. That’s a substantial difference.”
A Washington State Department of Transportation spokeswoman said they are still in negotiations with Brady over the price.”
