Stop taking our property

Stop taking our property.
Denver Business Journal 26 February 2006.

Letter to the Editor concerning Rep. Al White, R- Winter Park, sponsorship of HCR 1001 to stop eminent domain for economic gain.

“In the 1954 case of Berman vs. Parker, the U.S. Supreme Court changed “public use” to “public purpose.” and it has been downhill for property rights all the way to Kelo vs. New London in 2005. If we don’t stop this runaway train of “taking,” there will be no such thing as “property rights” in the near future. There will only be “ownership by the wealthy and the connected.””
