Property owners appealing school district’s value of their homes

  
“Three sets of homeowners have until the end of March to move out of Bothell-area homes where the Everett School District hopes to build a new high school.

The Everett School Board voted in September to use eminent domain to buy out the properties in the far southeastern portion of the district. A judge ruled in October that the condemnation process could move ahead.

The property owners say their land is worth several times what the district has offered. While their properties are zoned rural, they touch urban areas where land is worth substantially more.

Court dates are scheduled in April to determine the fair value.”
