Colorado Springs Urban Renewal Authority director out after just two months
“Kitty Clemens is out as executive director of the Colorado Springs Urban Renewal Authority after just two months on the job.
Urban Renewal Authority board members and a top city government official said Thursday that Clemens’ abrupt departure was a personnel matter and they declined to comment on whether she resigned or was fired; they’d only say that she no longer is executive director. The authority had announced Clemens’ hiring in August, and she assumed the post Sept. 6.
Clemens will continue to be paid her $92,000 salary – $120,000 with benefits – until she leaves the city’s payroll Wednesday, said Peter Wysocki, the city’s planning and community development director. He declined to comment on if she’ll receive severance pay.”
