2nd hearing set in Millcreek fee case

“Lawyers soon will reconvene over how much more Millcreek Township must pay in a lawsuit in which it has already covered $517,868 of its opponent’s legal fees.

Senior Erie County Judge John A. Bozza on Tuesday said he would hold a hearing in the last two weeks of May in the case, in which a trust controlled by wealthy landowner Laurel Hirt defeated the township in an eminent domain suit.

Hirt wants the township to reimburse the Angela Cres Trust an additional $650,000 for engineering fees. She used the engineers to counter Millcreek’s plan to condemn and widen an 800-foot ditch on trust property.”
