Protest held against eminent domain bill
“A protest was held Sunday in North St. Louis city to demonstrate against the eminent domain bill which would allow the city to acquire domain in the city’s third and fifth wards.
The eminent domain bill was created to encourage the new National Geospatial Agency facility construction to take place within city limits.
Homeowners spoke out in front of city leaders Sunday with the hope to save their homes.
“I believe that we are not going to demolish 2530, I believe that is going to be a refuge for my family and for anybody else, that’s another thing that this house represents,” said homeowner Charlesetta Taylor.”
