Ameren project concerns Council
“The Kirksville City Council is the latest group to express its concern with Ameren’s Mark Twain Transmission Project.
The Kirksville City Council will be sending a letter to the Ameren Transmission Company of Illinois (ATXI) addressing its worry over the possibility of them being able to implement eminent domain and if transmission lines will be within city limits after meeting with Ameren representatives and hearing the company’s future plans last week.
City Council members Richard Detweiler and Rick Steele met with ATXI representatives Thursday afternoon to discuss the company’s Mark Twain Transmission Project.
