“The Dec. 18 Metro article “D.C. Council approves soccer stadium” contained a troubling item: The council may use eminent domain to complete the complex deal. The Supreme Court has ruled that the Fifth Amendment protects against eminent domain except for public use. Precedent exists in the instance of Nationals Park.”
