LETTER: Will state Rep. Marcia Hahn stick up for landowners’ rights against PennEast pipeline?
“On Nov. 18 the Moore Township supervisors hosted a pipeline presentation for 240 concerned citizens. State Reps. Marcia Hahn, Julie Harhart and Mario Scavello attended. While their presence was commendable, I was disappointed to see them leave before the question and answer session. A citizen directed a question to Hahn: What is being done on a government level to protect the people she represents?
It’s a question for all our legislators, but the recent passage of HB 1565 makes Hahn a likely target since she was the primary sponsor.
Delaware Riverkeeper Maya van Rossum said Hahn “introduced and pushed legislation to remove the minimal buffers protecting our exceptional value and high quality streams in Pennsylvania, subjecting our communities to pollution, erosion and flooding. Residents challenged her tonight to sell them out on pipelines like she did on buffers.””
